Luke meets Catherine Zeta Jones on Work Placement

The Noah’s Ark Appeal, the official charity of the children’s hospital for Wales offered Luke Broadley a GO Wales Placement as a Communications Officer to support them in achieving their £7m fundraising campaign.
Noah’s Ark Appeal Patron Catherine Zeta Jones and her husband Michael Douglas visited the Children’s Hospital for Wales during Luke’s placement and he was heavily involved in arranging the visit and promoting the occasion.
Suzanne Mainwaring, director at Noah’s Ark Appeal felt the scheme was better than expected. She felt it was ‘great to have a high calibre of candidates’. As a result of Luke’s placement the charity have been able to move forward more quickly and assign more responsibility – benefiting both parties.
Luke studied a Business with E-Business Management degree at University of Wales, Newport. He felt the placement enabled him to learn, develop his skills, build contacts in the industry and have a great deal of responsibility. The placement experience was a huge success as Luke has been offered permanent employment with the charity.
